Kirstie founded Team Springboard in 2014 in order to support young people to get into the great outdoors and to enjoy nature and the environment whilst developing job and employability skills along the way.
The organisation has come along way since then and Kirstie provides the project management experience to keep things ticking along. She has a RHS Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture and loves growing veg in her small back garden allotment. |
Esther has a degree in Horticulture (specialising in Marketing and Management) having first been learning about Organic and Ecological methods during a scholarship in Aberystwyth. She has a wealth of horticultural experience and completed roles in Therapeutic Horticulture and as Garden Manager at Ryton Organic Gardens before joining Team Springboard.
Last year Esther completed a Permaculture course with Shift Bristol and found a lot of what she and the team were doing coincides with No Dig, Permaculture and natural growing/farming methods. One of her dreams is to teach as many people about gardening and growing their own as possible - to make them happier and healthier and the world a little bit better with every fruit and vegetable grown! Her special passions: to grow fruit trees and orchards, to propagate plants, learn to think in a way that is better for Earth and make this knowledge available for others. |
